HOME

It was an incredible journey.......

* * * * * * * * * * *
........... and we made it home .

Tommy's first "Gotcha Day".

For those of you not familiar with the world of adoption, "Gotcha Day" is an annual celebration of the day an adopted child
comes into their family............ "Gotcha!"

This may not be the best family photo, ....but it is the photo of a moment when a dream came true.

This has been an incredible journey .......one we will never forget.
Our hearts are full of thankfulness and joy for the work that has been done in our lives, and we give praise to Whom it is due.

We are home and all together now, with Tommy forever in our family. . . . . . and a part of Kazakhstan forever in our hearts.

The rest of today's posting is in memory of the children we left behind.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

We'll never forget this lunchroom.

Some of the little children of the world

This boy seemed intrigued with the idea of a mama and papa. He would always sneak away from his group to come take a closer look.

Another one of Suzy's special friends.

Pleased as punch to have their photo taken.

Playing house.

This boy seemed to be almost blind due to cataracts. In his quiet, polite voice he would always ask to have his picture taken.
Wish he could get surgery to repair his eyes.

This little girl really caught Jon's heart.

Papa Jon and friends.

She cried the day Tommy left...gave him a big hug and kiss.

This girlie was always all smiles and giggles.

A real handsome boy.

Sweet as sweet can be.

This boy is all smiles .....in high hopes that a Mama will come for him soon.

Precious.

A brother and sister hoping to be adopted together.
They were so sweet with one another...holding hands as they walked down the halls.

This little one liked to pretend to be a mama.
Sweet little girl ....... never could get her to smile for the camera, though.

When we asked about these children, we were told they weren't available for adoption .... that they were too old.
They are the 10 - 12 year olds.

And yet, when I look into their faces .....

I just can't agree.
These children aren't "too old" to need a family ...... no one is too old to need a family and a home.

This website is dedicated to the children still waiting.

Blessings to the children of Kazakhstan . . . . .

May they know they are not forgotten.

With All Our Love,

the Selins

Jon & Suzy & Mikel & Mia & Zachary & Tommy

World Partners has a wonderful sponsorship program to help those who are "too old" for adoption.
You can be matched with a child, and a small monthly donation will go directly to that child's education fund for their future.
You can give a child love & hope .....let them know someone knows they are there ...... and cares. You can make a difference.
